Need for speed!
When the water warms up in the spring, sandeels start appearing along the coast. That’s when this fly is usually on my leader. I retrieve the fly as fast as possible, preferably with the rod in the armpit and both hands on the line. Strikes on these fish imitations are usually very determined! In my opinion, this fly works best in late spring/early summer.
